Vegato Pharma was founded in October 2026. Our core business is partnering between companies around healthcare products and technologies. We connect the assets of overseas suppliers with the needs of Korean companies, and design partnership structures in which both sides create business value together.

Our leadership brings expertise and field experience in business development and management; science, quality and manufacturing; and medicine and clinical practice. We combine these perspectives to assess each asset and propose partnerships that can be delivered.

Alex (Dukkwon) Won

Leads Vegato Pharma’s strategy and global partnering. Understanding both the development background and the commercial potential of each product, Alex leads partner search and negotiation to fit the goals of companies in Korea and abroad, and draws on hands-on industry experience to shape partnerships that turn products and technologies into business opportunities in Korea.

A pharmacist with more than 37 years of experience in research and development, business development, manufacturing and management in the pharmaceutical industry. Led business development, regulatory affairs and market access at Johnson & Johnson Asia Pacific and Janssen Korea, and has held senior leadership roles including CEO of Ahngook Pharmaceutical and President overseeing R&D and manufacturing at Sama Pharm. Alex holds a B.Pharm. and an M.S. from Seoul National University College of Pharmacy and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Suwon.

Seunghee Park

Leads our operations and the scientific and quality review of each asset. Seunghee assesses each product’s scientific evidence, quality and manufacturing data, GMP status and supply readiness, and guides technical discussions between suppliers and partners, so that both sides can count on consistent quality and dependable supply.

A registered pharmacist with more than 20 years in pharmaceutical quality control and production, including roles as Head of Production and Quality at Janssen Korea and production team leader at a major Korean pharmaceutical company. Seunghee holds a B.Pharm., an M.S. and a Ph.D. from Sungkyunkwan University College of Pharmacy.

Her medical expertise and scientific judgment guide our assessment of each asset. She critically evaluates the clinical evidence supporting each product, assessing study design, the strength of the findings, and their relevance to the intended use and clinical setting. This helps partners clearly define a product’s medical value, understand both its benefits and its limitations, and identify priorities for further evidence development.

She holds an M.D. from Dankook University College of Medicine and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Harvard University.
